
Annette O'Toole grew up in the Houston dance studio run by the mother of her. At the young age of 2, she appeared for the first time on television as a child as a child on The Don Mahoney Children's Trooper program. She was 13 when, having ten years of vocal and dancing training in her past, she and her mother traveled to L.A. for a year in order to test whether she was able to pursue a career in show business. Within two months she landed her first paid job, performing in the Danny Kaye Show with Danny Kaye. The actress says she's used her singing and dancing capabilities in various ways. It's a fantastic discipline for actors." O'Toole's debut acting gig was My Three Sons, followed by roles in Gunsmoke, The Partridge Family, The Mod Squad, and Hawaii Five-O. Through the years, she's been in over 40 episodes Despite all the success in film and television O'Toole's greatest passion is the theater. She decided, after the six-year run of Smallville was finished, to dedicate herself to the theater. This is exactly what she's been doing since the beginning of the year. She went to New York and her first audition was the reason she was part of The Sea Gull. Her appearances have been in various Off-Broadway productions. Among them are Adam Rapp's Kindness, Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska as well as Tennessee Williams' A Lovely Sunday for Creve Couer.
